Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of evchargeroutes.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

EV Charge Routes provides information about public EV charging stations sourced from Open Charge Map and other providers, route-planning and range tools, vehicle compatibility data, editorial content and investor-oriented landing pages. We do not own or operate the charging stations themselves.

2. Accounts

You must be 16 or older to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or that show signs of automated or fraudulent use.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape, mirror, resell or redistribute data beyond reasonable personal use.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with the Service, bypass rate limits, or circumvent the consent banner.
  • Do not submit unlawful, misleading, defamatory, infringing or harmful content.
  • Do not use the Service to harass other users or to send unsolicited communications.

4. Third-party data

Station data is provided by Open Charge Map under the Open Database License and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Images may come from Wikimedia Commons, Mapillary and Google Places, each under their own licence — attribution is shown where required. Always verify pricing, availability, connector type and compatibility before relying on this information for a trip.

5. Investment content and broker referrals

Editorial articles about EV-related stocks, ETFs and infrastructure are for general information only. They are not financial, investment, legal or tax advice and you should consult a qualified, regulated adviser before making any investment decision.

Where you submit an investor lead form, you consent to your contact details being passed to a regulated broker partner so they may contact you about EV-sector investment products. The broker is responsible for the suitability and regulation of any product they then offer you. You can withdraw this consent at any time via the Request Your Data page.

Trading and investing carry the risk of loss, including loss of capital. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, original editorial copy, code and trade dress, is owned by EV Charge Routes or licensed to us. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. Third-party content (station data, imagery) remains the property of its respective licensors.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation, nor that station data, prices or compatibility information are accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EV Charge Routes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, lost profits, lost data, missed journeys or vehicle damage arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for free users is GBP 0).

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EV Charge Routes from any claim arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account via the Request Your Data page. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or where required by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence applies.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
